VICKIE LINDSTRAND for KOSTA Boda BIRDS
in CAGE Prism Art Glass 60s Sweden
Exquisite hard to find art glass design
by Vicke Lindstrand (Victor Emanuel
Lindstrand 1904-1983) for Kosta Boda of
Sweden. "Birds in a Cage". Clear
triangle, prism, engraved birds behind
bars. Done in the 1960's, engraved
signature " Kosta 92415 Lindstrand" on
base. 4" in height, approx 3-1/2" on
each side. A little over 2 lbs. Perfect
for a paperweight or for display. Very
nice condition. A few minor scratches on
the bottom, a tiny chigger bite on one
bottom corner and a very tiny flea bite
on the top edge. Not visible in pictures
due to their tiny size. Not sure if
these are damage or was done when it was
produced? These are not noticable unless
your looking for them, just trying to
describe this accurately. Hard to
photograph due the the prism like
properties. I've used a green felt
background to show the details, it also
shows some fingerprints and smudges from
handling. It is a stunning mid-century
modern piece that would be a beautiful
addition to any collection.

Vintage 1950's
rocker horse chair. This unique piece is a prime
example of a designers dream for capturing the
imaginations of his youth and extending it over
into the adult world. Young and old alike can
choose to set in one of two positions. Facing
forwards or backwards in the seat. Made or
rattan/bamboo its lightweight but sturdy and
more comfortable then it first appears. It is
unmarked. Attributed to Danish origins and one
can see the simularities in the style to some of
Wegner's works, that were inspired by Picasso.
No matter who the designer was, this unusual
chair is quite the conversation piece. Its still
in good condition overall. Sturdy and solid on
construction. There is some wear to the finish
and signs of use over the years. Sold as found.
This unusual chair does require some space as
any rocker would, measuring 48" long, 42" tall
and 20" wide on the rockers. Please note: this
unique chair is to big to ship with the carriers
(UPS, Fedex) and for the USPS. It can be shipped
freight (please send a zip code for a quote) The
best, most economical way and what we recommed
is using Greyhound.

1998 GIDEON
DAGAN - INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER PERPETUAL
CALENDAR This
innovative functional perpetual calendar
would be a great addition to any modern
space. From the mind of the well known
industrial designer, Gideon Dagan. This
unique calendar has two movable magnetic
balls mark the day and month, allowing it to
be used year after year. Use of the stand
allows it to be placed on a desk or
table, remove the stand to hang on the
wall. Designed for The Museum of
Modern Art in 1998. The
gravity-defying magnetic force of the ball
pulls the tether taut giving it the
appearance of a rigid arm that easily moves
to mark each month, while a second magnetic
ball securely sets on the horizontal beam to
indicate the day. 9" H x 13’ W x 2: D.
Calender is complete in its original box.
